Trusting our elected law enforcement officials is imperative to maintaining a Safe Boone County.  For decades, our Sheriff's Department has been a beacon for agencies throughout Kentucky, and the region.  

Though our Judge/Executive and Fiscal Court should always provide budgetary oversight, no political influence should be forced upon the department.  The integrity of the agency, operating separate from the Fiscal Court is the most effective way to ensure all citizens are treated equally under the law.  

As Judge/Executive, our Sheriff would have my full support, and should expect zero interference or restructuring plans.  That is my pledge to the Officers and Deputies who provide the security which we benefit from each day.
